Product Design and Development is a project-based course that covers modern software tools and methods for product design and development. Design students learn conceive, design and prototype physical product. All class sessions will be conducted online. Topics include Modeling and Mold Making for Designers, Toy Design and Studio-Quality Rendering for final products. This course is an introduction to the digital product design process with a focus on designing for play and entertainment. Students will be ready with their original products at the end of the course.

In this course, each students work independently to design and prototype new products. Students work on various themed projects. Students will be introduced to the product development process, sketch modeling; concept development; design aesthetics; detailed design; prototyping; and written, visual, and oral communication.
